maps and flowers

Quick update of some summer photos:

i was sick last week and daniel bought me this beautiful gerbera(?) to cheer me up! i love the subtle coral hues. sadly our flat is far too hot for it to survive, so i snapped a photo of the lovely colours before it wilted.
sweet map my granddad gave me along with his car I bought from him. he's giving up driving at the age of 89!
I also made a bow from another OS map for my mum's birthday card this week :) we went to a very nice pub which had some great veggie dishes for her and my nana.

finally, below: vintage type drawer. i've always wanted one because my auntie had a really big one filled with so many lovely eccentric things. we're slowing filling ours up. it's in the bedroom, which is quite a calm, blank canvas (lots of white and wood!) -other than this piece :)

*soldier teatowel from Aldi, of all places! We had a fry up whilst watching the wedding on TV, and went for a pub crawl in Guildford in the afternoon

Leaf I found when we went to Richmond Park a few weeks back. Finally got around to photographing it in the light

Acorns, again, collected in Richmond Park. These are sitting happily on the window sill in a little measuring jug. it has a broken handle so I can't use it in the kitchen anymore. sigh!
